Thanks. People should be aware that I make the videos for fun. It’s not a 100% serious thing. That’s why I might chose to have the model narrate instead of me narrating.

  • phototecglobal:

Nice vid, lots of info for all levels of photographers & your right, the model narrating is unique & I thought she done well. A person of her calibre needs edge and I think that’s what people don’t like, I may be wrong. Anyhow fair play to u both and all the best.

ye im sure he really good….. please never document a vedeo ever again……. ;)

  • wondnaereh:

Is that the only girl you could get to do this? Ouch, she made me unable to watch this, and now I’m in a foul mood.

  • thebluenine:

Great photography, but the host makes this video unwatchable.

  • kinglouie1968:

    Very articulate young lady.

I’m using Profoto 600ws monolights. Generally I try to shoot my D3 at ISO200, 160 shutter, and f9. However, the high ISO performance is so good these days that you could easily shoot at ISO 1000, meaning your lights don’t have to be all that powerful.

  • TSJStudios:

Hey, Question what was the apeture, shutter speed, iso setting and flash power you was using for the shots with the hairlight seperation. are the back lights 400w strobes? How many watts are the strobes you have and power you used for the front strobes with umbrella. I’m trying to step up my photography level and learn to do perfect head & quarter shots

  • photoJohnRicard:

Any strobe with a 100watt modeling light will be fine. A 400ws strobe should be good for general use. My Dyanlites are 400ws and my Profotos are 600ws. Both have more than enough power.

If you can afford it, get the Dynalite Uni 400jr for abou $650. It’s a great professional light that isn’t too expensive. If money is a concern, look into Alien Bees monolights. They are cheaper, but a lot of people like them.

I think its good that you have models detailing information about ligthing it shows that there not just video girls and knows whats going on from the models perspective and the photographers. Keep doing your thing. I’m an up and coming photographer who does work with models. Question, whats max flash power on your monolights and how many watts are the modeling lamp inside the monolight? i’m trying to purchase the right monolight strobes for my shoots. what would you suggest?

Well, Na’Tasha isn’t my girlfriend -just a model I’ve worked with. She’s done a lot of swimsuit modeling, but no one has ever heard her narrate a video like this. I wanted to do something different with her than anyone else had done.

I’ve shot quite a few videos with models narrating but these days I tend to narrate most of the videos myself. It makes the editing much quicker when I narrate but I still think the videos where the model narrates are unique.

  • miavonni:

One model will neither make or break my biz. The video is something that is intended to be both educational and entertaining. I’m not sure how much it succeeds on either count, but it is a video I enjoyed making and I remain proud of it to this day. Thanks for watching.

  • ProPhotoHouston02:

She is over the top GHETTO!!!

The photographer is very good, I feel this find of model will not help your biz.
