You need to delete the “installation” directory, not the joomla directory! So when you upload all the files, you will get files like these– “administrator”, “components”, “libraries”, “media”, “images”, “templates”.
There will be one folder that is named, “installation”, and that is the folder you want to delete!
I did the installation and deleted the Joomla directory that I uploaded for the installation as you told me.. I clicked the Site button afterwards and it said error 404 – Not found. Your browser can’t find the document corresponding to the URL you typed in. What went wrong?
If you are having problems installing Joomla I can install it for you for free as long as you host with me. Anyone interested please let me know, I’ll have your Joomla site up in 5 minutes and working perfectly.
